Research Project

A local post graduate research student is seeking family historians to fill in a brief questionnaire. If you can spare 10 minutes to help please have a look at the downloadable document and respond direct to the student in question.

Sheffield Archives will reopen again on Monday 5 September 2011. The normal fiche/film and document issue service will resume.

Please note, you will not be able to access fiche and film at the Local Studies Library from Monday 22 August to Friday 2 September. Sheffield Archives will be using this time to transfer the microform and film readers back to Shoreham Street.

To coincide with the reopening Sheffield Archives will be participating in Heritage Open Days on Friday 9 September 2011. The doors will be open from 10am til 4pm, and Sheffield Archives will be offering guided tours round the strongroom, conservation demonstrations and an original document exhibition.
