Forthcoming Events for 2010

The Society's monthly meeting are open to everyone and we welcome newcomers as well as our longstanding members.  Meeting are held at 7.30 p.m. at Cemetery Road Baptist Church (access to the meetings rooms behind the church is via the entrance in Napier Street). The doors are open from 7.00 p.m. to allow time for a cup of tea, a chat with other members and to browse our bookstall.  We usually finish shortly before 9.00 p.m.

Monday 19th April - "What makes  you laugh"  Stories of the great comedians, jokes and personal memories which have nothing to do with anything except they made him laugh.  A talk by Trevor Page. 

Monday 17th May - Woodhead Railway.  The lost railway.  A talk by Simon Grey. 

Monday 21st June - Sheffield Newspapers.   A talk by Suzanne Bingham. 

Monday 19th July - J.G. Graves.  Business man and Benefactor.  A talk by Mike Spick.
